If football is your passion, the Allianz Arena is a few stops north on the U-bahn. If football is your passion, you may wish to visit the home of FC Bayern Munich and the stadium that hosted the opening match for World Cup 2006. To reach the Allianz Arena, take the U-Bahn (U-6 line) north to Fröttmaning.
Alternatively, you could visit the Olympic Park Area. A ride north on the U3 line will bring you the site of the 1972 summer games. Here you can explore the venues and the park or ascend the Olympic Tower for a wonderful view of the park and the city, or to enjoy a meal at the revolving restaurant.
Along Hohenzollernstraße and down the side streets of Schawbing are a delightful selection of boutiques, restaurants and bars. The uniqueness of the neighbourhood is captured in the flavours of its dining.
The three world-renowned Pinakothek museums are walking distance from the Cosmopolitan Hotel. The Alte Pinakotek holds old European Masters. The Neue Pinakothek contains works from the 18th through early 20th Century. The Pinakothek der Moderne is Germany’s larges museum of Modern Art.
If you’re in Schwabing on a Saturday, consider visiting the local Elizabethplatz farmer’s market, where the best of local produce and wares are for sale.
